Price per MSI/MSF Formula

Price per MSI = (Area of paper x Basis weight) x 2 x Price per lb.
Price per MSF = Price per MSI x 144

The below examples are price calculations for a roll of 70# book paper (25” x 38”) priced at $0.58 per lb.
Price per MSI: ((25” x 38”) x 70) x 2 x 0.58 = $0.0855 (rounded to $0.09)
Price per MSF: $0.0855 x 144 = $12.31

Price per Linear Foot and Yard Formula

Price per Linear Foot = (Roll width x MSF price) x 12,000
Price per Linear Yard = (Roll width x MSF price) x 4,000

The below examples are price calculations for a roll of paper with a width of 26.75" and an MSF price of $31.50.
Price per Linear Foot: (26.75" x $31.50) x 12,000 = $0.07
Price per Linear Yard: (26.75" x $31.50) x 4,000 = $0.21
